Iran director Abdolreza Kahani finishes filming in Thailand

Testing the waters in a Thailand-set movie, Iran director Abdolreza Kahani has finished filming his new movie ‘We Love You Ms. Yaya’ in the southeast Asian country.

Acoording to a domestic media report released on Friday, Kahani’s fourth cooperation with Iranian distinguished actor Reza Attaran finished filming with an international crew.

In addition to Attaran, the film stars include Amin Hayai and Hamid Farokh-Nejad from Iran and Nitaya Chaisri from Thailand.

Born 1973 in Nishapur, Abdolreza Kahani is an Iranian filmmaker who has won the Special Jury Prize and the Prize of Ecumenical Jury at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in 2009 for his film ‘Twenty’.

He made his first short film, ‘The Smile’ in 1988 and then he got his BA in Acting at Tehran Azad University and his MA in Directing at Tehran University.

Kahani directed his first feature film ‘Dance with the Moon’ in 2003. His other productions include ‘Delighted’ (2016), ‘Absolute Rest’ (2015), ‘We Have Time’ (2014), ‘Absolutely Tame Is a Horse’ (2011), and ‘Nothing’ (2010).
